GENERAL OBJECTIVE:
To transform the construction industry into an inclusive and equitable field for women, leveraging innovative VET programs that tackle deep-rooted gender biases and barriers with by systems theory and a social ecological model (SEM) of change.
SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES:
- Address Systemic Barriers in Education and Training – Develop VET programs that counteract gender stereotypes and biases, particularly addressing the issues identified by young women in the referenced study (Karen & Glenda 2019).
- Enhance Female Participation and Retention in Construction – Focus on increasing female enrollment and completion in VET programs, and support their continued presence in the construction workforce.
- Foster Industry-Wide Cultural Change – Partner with construction firms, government bodies, and trade unions to promote a nationwide shift towards gender inclusivity in the construction industry.
- Create a Supportive Ecosystem for Women in Construction – Build a comprehensive support network, including mentorship programs and peer support groups, to empower women in their construction careers.

TARGET GROUP:

- Demographics: Women aged 18-30 who are either considering or are already enrolled in VET programs related to construction.
- Professionals in Education: This includes teachers, trainers, and mentors within VET institutions and programs that focus on construction and related trades.
- Construction Industry Stakeholders: This encompasses a range of professionals, from site supervisors to company executives, within the construction industry.
- Decision Makers and Influencers: This group includes policy makers at local, national, &European levels, as well as nongovernmental organizations&advocacy groups focused on gender equality&workforce development.
- Supportive Communities: These are networks and organizations that provide support, mentorship,&advocacy for women in construction.

Reformed and Inclusive VET Curricula
Increased Female Representation and Career Advancement
Shift in Industry and Societal Perceptions
Establishment of Support Networks for Women

EXPECTED RESULT:
- ConstructHer Inclusive Education Framework -Develop an educational framework that integrates findings from the referenced study, focusing on removing barriers and stereotypes in construction education.
- ConstructHer Career Pathway Program -Implement a program that guides women through the stages of education, training, and employment in construction, ensuring retention and career growth.
- ConstructHer Industry Alliance -Form alliances with key industry players to drive policy changes and promote gender-inclusive practices in construction firms.
- ConstructHer Empowerment Network -Launch an online and offline network platform.
